There is something special about photographing couples who balance each other perfectly. Maddie and Richie are one of those pairs. We met at Little Elm Beach, just north of Dallas, for a couples session that felt natural, romantic, and full of personality.
Maddie (she/her) is a book lover who brings quiet warmth to every space she enters. Richie (he/him), known musically as Endgray, carries an artistic edge that feels bold, expressive, and full of energy. My goal for this session was to capture their connection in a way that celebrated both of their worlds. I wanted to highlight her softness and his creative grit, while showing how beautifully their energies intertwine.
The Vision
Little Elm Beach was the perfect spot for this shoot. The soft sand, gentle waves, and golden light created a relaxed atmosphere that allowed Maddie and Richie to simply be themselves. The goal was to tell their story visually, without forcing anything posed or overly polished.
I wanted every image to feel honest and cinematic. Maddie’s tenderness came through in the quiet moments, while Richie’s individuality showed up in his confident presence and subtle movement. Together, they created something that felt effortless and real.
My Favorite Moments
My favorite photos from this session came at the edge of the water. The surface was calm enough to reflect their silhouettes, creating images that felt almost symbolic. In those shots, you can see both their reflection and the connection between them. It felt like watching love take shape in two layers — one above the water and one beneath it.
